Teacher is My Identity Manifesto
Today I’m 27, I am ready to be a TEACHER!
As a leader, I am leading changes from within the classroom. I aspire to create a community where teachers embrace the equitable whole-child approach to integrate SEL into the classroom. And this community will be grounded in Continuous Improvement and Design Thinking.
The rest of my career could have many possible trajectories. Perhaps I will find myself in SEL instructional coaching, or community building in non-profits, or even found my own school! Something I do know: I want to be around students, I want to learn and unlearn with them together, I will propose 100 inquiry questions every year, and I want to be in school, I want the whole world to imagine with me together: what a school should be, and the school can be such a nurturing and loving community!
